Hey, guys, welcome to a new corner of my world.
I recently started a YouTube channel devoted to what it takes to be the best version of ourselves. I offer healthy eating advice, self-care guidance, and inspiration.
I decided that being the best version of me meant learning how to become unapologetic. That means that who we are is exactly who we are supposed to be. It means letting go of preconceived notions about needing to change ourselves to make others happy. At its core, being unapologetic means taking care of ourselves so we can better serve the planet and those on it.
For me, this journey also meant becoming vegan. I decided that all lives have intrinsic value. I do not believe that we should place a higher value on some lives over others. The same people that stand up against cruelty to dogs and cats might turn around and eat a burger without thinking twice. Well, after watching many, many documentaries on how farmed animals are treated…I just couldn’t allow myself to participate any longer.
This site is not going to be one of shocking you into agreeing with me. The information is out there and, if you are interested in more I will add some links of where you can go to find out the truth. I do not judge you if you choose to eat animal products, as I hope you will not judge me for not doing so.
We are all here, basically on the same journey but taking different paths. I believe we need to love and support one another. I chose to become vegan for the heath benefits (read The China Study by T Colin Campbell PhD–no I am not getting any reward for promoting this book, unless you count sharing vital information with you!) as well as the ethical/moral benefits. Your choices are yours and are personal to you.
